a visit from oma and opa

oma and opa were coming through town today, so they stopped in to take us all out to dinner to celebrate isaak and joe's upcoming birthdays. they like to have their own time to have the boys to themselves and the boys like it, too. we had to wait a little while for joe to get home so they got to sit down one on one with oma and opa and play puzzles, read books, set up the trains, and play on the swings. the boys were hungry, or as jonah likes to say, they were "getting ready to starve!" so they were all geared up for ikey's [and daddy's] favorites: chips, tortillas and rice. we went to a local mexican restaurant and then came back to our house for oma's homemade wacky* [cup]cakes. it seems as though ikey likes it! and as always, they came bearing gifts.
