"this is the polar express!"

the magical journey that almost didn't happen on account of "precious" and jack frost. if me and the boys were any less hearty, we'd have had to cancel christmas. it's kind of hard to find a dogsitter for a sick dog [even though he's doing much better, thank you for asking] and old man winter thought he'd try to snow us out, but to no avail. after some teetering decision making, we packed up our parvo-ridden dog and took our chances with icy roads. that's "the thing about trains... it doesn't matter where they are going. what matters is deciding to get on." and it's a good thing we did, too. not only was sirius more than fine, but the snow just added charm to the affair. we made it to "christmas town" without any problems and were on the platform just in time to catch our ride to the north pole.
