Joe took me to see Jewel in concert last night at the Mesa Arts Center. He bought me tickets for my birthday months ago. And despite the flu virus my family has been passing around this week, I was still there, 4th row, feverish and weak. I've always been an avid Jewel fan, though my interest had dwindled a bit with her last few albums. But this concert solidified my faith in her. It was the 4th time I've seen her in concert. All of them very different from the other in terms of presentation. This one was all solo acoustic in a somewhat small theatre and just raw Jewel. Phenomenal.
