me and the boys spent new year's in flagstaff with some of my old flagstaff alumni and their ever-expanding offspring. we rented a house downtown for 5 days while we reminisced about the 'glory days' and even relived some of them? we headed for the old stomping grounds for flagstaff's pinecone drop on new year's eve. for me, it was a new year's eve for the books, let's just leave it at that. and my wonderful husband deserves a medal for the acts of bravery that he accomplished without hardly a whimper. we didn't actually see the pinecone drop, but that wasn't really the point anyway.

the kids always have so much fun together and couldn't care less if it was 18 degrees outside. the boys favorite part was of course the sledding and the train station. and jonah is not kidding about the train whistle being loud. even though we were expecting it, i still picked him up and ran because it scared me so much.

just picturing you picking up Jonah and running to save him from the train is enough to laugh out loud!
