meet joe bast*

today joe bast turns 33 years old. he is, among many other things, a son [3rd child out of 4, just like me], a brother [2 brothers, 1 sister], a friend [very loyal and hasn't forgotten a soul since kindergarten], a husband [it only took 3 yrs. and 2 babies to convince him], a father [loves the crap out of his boys and keeps nagging me for more**], a mechanical engineer [although still aspiring to make it to mars and/or save the world environmentally], a comedian [aren't they all? he actually is pretty witty though], a handyman [what he doesn't already know how to build or fix he figures out anyway], a woodworker [check out what he built the boys in their playroom using only scrap wood from ikea, just one example], a mechanic [time is not his friend at present, but he's got a dismantled harley in the garage and an old '68 dodge truck he's working on], a mathematician [by the way honey, i don't appreciate the pop quizzes], a lefty [he's very proud of this one], a musician [plays the drums and a little guitar], an artist [drawing and sandwich making], a food critic and a cook [he cooks more than i do and usually makes up his recipes as he goes. my favorite, 'joey surprise', refers to more than one of his original concoctions], a nail biter, knuckle cracker, and snorer [not his most redeeming qualities], a dreamer [very redeeming].
