don't you hate it when somebody comes in from playing outside and smears mud all up and down your stairway? yeah, i know. what's worse is when it's not. mud.
you get the picture, right? no need for a visual here. that's right, all over the textured wall, in every nook and cranny, and balled-up all over the carpet. and the man-handling, with my bare hands, because i've got to get it up quick before he steps in it and grinds it in.
the culprit?

found him. hiding in his favorite hideaway, daddy's t-shirt collection. what's he laughing about? sure, he looks innocent.
so i asked him,
"ikey, were you naughty?"
to which he replied with a big nod,
"naugh'y? yes. naugh'y."
at least he was honest. i guess i won't press charges. this time.

That particular type of Mud spreading must be something that runs in the family. Our family, that is. Your mother, Ikey,s grandma, plastered my wall, the floor, both cribs, her twin brother and herself one afternoon while supposedly taking their afternoon nap. I wasn't sure what to do with her. Pick her up and use the garden hose outside to wash she and her twin brother off and then perhaps call in the emergency squad that cleans up after disasters. My sympathies to you.
gross
thanks for reminding me why i i'm glad we don't have our own house yet . . . in a year, this carpet will be in the dumpster and some other sucker will move into this base house. i hope we've gotten all such similar incidents out of our system (and i do sympathize . . . so so sorry. especially all over your beautiful house).
haha ikey! i love that he is so PROUD of his disaster! dang he is still oh so cute!
I like your perspective! "Poo is 10 times worse" (as Anne of Green Gables would probably say ;) You are a cute Mom!!
Hey Faith! Looks like I'm discovering all the Crosby (well actually Dewitt, Cederstrom, and Bast) blogs today! And it's about time - since I've seen them floating around Tanya's and Grandma's blog for awhile now. Looks like things are going great...minus the "not mud." Oh my goodness that is nasty. It must really run in the family - I remember Tamara telling me a similarly nasty story about James doing the same thing. :P What a mess you Moms clean up! What a good attitude you have about it too, I love the picture. :) Have a great weekend!
