spring equinox

the first signs of spring at our house. the trees are budding and our bunnies are
out and about. these wild desert cottontails have been living under our shed since we moved in. the most low- maintenance pets we've ever had.

this pink blossom is the first to bloom on this tree since we planted it last spring next to the dog house for izzy after she died.

me and the boys thought we would give our little garden another shot. our herb garden did pretty well last year, so we thought we would take it a step further and see if we couldn't grow actual food. we've added a few vegetables [different kinds of tomatoes and peppers], so we shall see. the boys did a great job helping with the planting. according to jonah, all we have to do now is give them "rain, sunshine, and love". the little einsteins told him so.

Wow- planted your own herbs?? I'm incredibly impressed! I ought to get a planter and do the same... since I probably won't be living in this house when it's time to harvest :P Good luck with your CROPS! :)
