more easter fun . . .

our neighbors hosted a sort of block party this afternoon with some good fun for the kids and mingling for the adults. joe and i met a lot of new neighbors we never knew we had [nor will we remember most of their names] and the kids played relentlessly in the bounce house only taking a few forced breaks to swallow a piece of hot dog or two, or express extreme amusement*. there was also egg dyeing [which the boys never got to] and some healthy competitive racing. jonah has really been into 'winning' lately. [it's a race every time we go down the stairs, eat breakfast, get in the car . . . and it's a melt down every time we** don't win.] which only seems to make today's victory all the sweeter. jonah smoked 'em by a long shot and he was also the youngest kid participating. ikey was his usual overly-social-with-strangers self. anybody who would throw the ball to him was his new best friend. i think joe and i were widely known there as the little blonde, tow-headed kid's parents.

*jonah kept coming out of the bounce house just to say, "i am having so much fun!"
**we meaning me, of course

fun neighborhood... cool idea. Easter is one of those fun, easygoing holidays. I love those twist cars--did you ride one?

That's awesome, Faith. I love these little insights to your kids' personalities & seeing how well they match my own kids'!
