joe's brother, kris bast, returning home to his wife, jami, and 3 small children from 12 months in iraq serving in the army.joe's dad, thomas bast, also served in the navy and air force for 25+ years. unfortunately, i don't have any pictures of him looking handsome in his uniform right now.
my cousin, chase crosby, is serving in the air force and is stationed in okinawa, japan with his wife, cindy, and 2 little boys cade and cael, and 1 on the way.i also have 2 other cousins, trevor sharp, who served in iraq with the army, and crystal currently in the navy. again, no pics. sorry.
we sure are proud of our guys [and gal] for their willingness to help keep our country safe.
the first armed forces day was celebrated by parades, open houses, receptions and air shows. how will you celebrate armed forces day? send a letter? give a hug? and/or buy a t-shirt?

i can't look at a picture of a parent returning home without getting a bit choked up - i don't even have to know them.
