pardon the exclamation point, summer lovers, but that is good news in my book. however, the boys are squeezing all that's left out of it, spending hours outside, soaking up the sun.
usually the boys can be found in nothing but their skivvies. they're just so versatile in the summertime: swimming trunks, pj's, play clothes. even daddy can't be bothered to find a real pair of swimming shorts.
1. the slip 'n slide. on my list of things i no longer do, but wish i would. 2. poseidan - god of this sea. 3. i found this empty carton of strawberries in the back corner of the boys' treehouse today. what was left of the decapitated strawberries was good and molded. i don't know how long it's been there exactly, but i like the picture in my head where the two of them are feeling so sneaky pulling their favorite treat out of the fridge and consuming all of them behind mama's back. 4. daddy time in the pool. the perfect way to end the day.

Your kids look like they are having so much fun! Thanks so much for you comment. We are so excited for this little one, I just hope that all goes well. We all need to get together for dinner sometime.

i think this is my favorite grouping of pics yet! i love love love that pic of jonah in the pool - do you think it would be the same if i lay in a kiddie pool? would i feel as happy and content with summer as he looks? i'm so jealous.
(and no worries, i don't think we're in danger of cold temperatures anytime soon)
