he's only 2.64 years old and i've finally gotten him to sleep in his crib.
i spent months trying to get isaak to sleep in his crib as a baby, tried every method i'd ever read. i let him cry it out and cry it out until i just couldn't stomach it anymore. the kid just wouldn't sleep unless he had at least a hand or a foot safely on home base. [me, i'm home base] after seizing our bed for months we were finally able to get him to sleep in jonah's bed with him, but to this day he still finds his way back to our bed several times a night.
so what did i do this time? well the boys were so busted for tearing up the front room thrice too many times this morning, so i told them that mama was fed up and they were both going down for naps, by themselves. [gasp!] i put jonah in his bed, then ikey in the crib and he smiled, rolled over and went to sleep. what? so that's what that feels like.
i don't know why, but i'm sure it will never happen again.

I hear ya!! Austyn is 4 and still trys to come in our bed everynight. I told him NO MORE b/c I am not sleeping with him in our bed, so when he comes in we have a sleeping bag next to our bed and he sleeps on the floor in the sleeping bag!! I feel bad, but I need sleep TOO!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!! That's a hard one!!
