joe put up our christmas lights this weekend. in such a timely manner and without me having to beg him first. isn't he a peach?
reason #678943 why i love my husband: endless frugality.
and this is me not making a big stink about it or forcing him take them down [like all my OCD and pride are screaming at me to do] in the name of marital compromise [and the fact that i am too chicken to climb on the roof myself].
although, my lack of enthusiasm for the display might have killed a little bit of magic at the lighting ceremony last night and for that, please accept my apologies. don't forget that along with compromise there is also forgiveness. like, i forgive you for lumping us into that group of zealous holiday decorators that somehow escape HOA fines. should we just go buy some hideously large, inflatable santa [on craig's list, of course] and plop him on our front lawn and call it complete? maybe adopt a few stray cats?
now that i think about it, maybe all those other people with discount store front yards don't have such bad taste after all. perhaps they're just compromising with someone. [well, they're definitely compromising something.]
season's greetings. off to a good start.

your lights look *ahem* great! yeah for frugal joe!
They aren't so bad! "one strand at a time" just think in like 5 years your house won't look so "frugal!"
in the mean time, get a blow up santa...no? ok!
