it's reward time

i'm just about to that half-way point in gestation and i'm due for a little treat-the ultrasound. it's going to be a family affair and we're all looking forward to it.

i'm hoping for a little relief-assuming that baby checks out good and healthy.

jonah's been asking for weeks when he would get to hear the baby's heartbeat. [he's been told it sounds like a train and well, THAT'S exciting.]

isaak wants to know if he'll be getting his baby brother or if jonah's going to get his sister.

and joe's looking forward to his 4-man band-that's been the plan all along.

i'm glad i don't have to choose the gender. i couldn't have decided. i love, love, love my boys and would be perfectly happy with another, but there is the curiosity of what it would be like to have a daughter. joe says he doesn't want that extra set of worries that goes along with a little girl, but i just roll my eyes and tell him he's going to spoil her more than anybody and he can't help but smile.

so for all of you asking, since we do already have two boys and this will be our last baby, are we hoping for a girl? no, not necessarily. we'll take whatever we get.

Good attitude. I feel the same way. A healthy baby is a huge miracle and blessing. The gender is just one part of that.

I am still pulling for a third B (bast) boy. I'll admit I was also curious about raising a girl, but no more. I don't think I could switch gears. You know, the whole old dog, new trick thing... :) Keep us posted!
