me and the girls set aside twenty whole dollar bills, tucked them into our lucky place, picked a trio of BIG money machines that looked promising, lit our cigarettes*, and pulled those levers.

at a penny per gamble, i thought long and hard about strategy before placing each bet, yet i consistently came up with the same result: nada. nichts. niente. repeat. truth is, jeri doubled her money, but jane and i were both bored before we could even get rid of half our lot.
so, maybe we're not raging vegas girls and all that sin city has to offer might have been lost on us. we still enjoyed our girls' weekend away from kids and husbands, just hanging out and checking out jeri's new hometown.
*relax, i'm joking. no matter what they say, i'm sure birth defects don't stay in vegas.
