as much as we love to get into halloween decorations, i can't wait to rip gently take them down the next day. on to bigger and even better holidays.
i love november. it's a nice little break before the christmas shebang. and i have been on it this year. i've got much of my shopping done and the christmas cards are just waiting for december 1st. this is a huge accomplishment since i say i want to do this every year, but never do. i'm not getting any smaller or more mobile this year and it gives me the opportunity to be a sort of closet early celebrator. the decorations aren't up, but i'm already in christmas mode and maybe i'm watching holiday movies already and listening to christmas music in the privacy of my office as i lick and seal. maybe.
the boys are also making their own preparations already.
i told jonah he should write santa a letter the other morning in hopes of occupying him long enough to let me sleep in a little longer. while i'm amused by his entirely self-generated list, i'm now wondering if these things are such a good idea. once he wrote these down and discussed each item with his brother, they both appear to be dead set on these exact items. how do i tell them that santa is not bringing them bunk beds this year, or that the transformers bumblebee cannon is being replaced by a much cheaper nerf version [which actually looks nothing like it other than being a gun and yellow and black]?
sorry, boys. looks like you guys were on the naughty list?
no? too emotionally scarring?

I'm kinda over the list thing as well. Just because you only write Nintendo DS or DOG does not mean it is going to happen. On the flip side, you can ask for 25 things, but you're only getting ONE!
good times!
And the Christmas cards done? Way to go! I thought I was on the ball...!
Tell them that Santa is in a recession and they'll understand when they are older.
*snicker* That's cute. Try REEEEALLY hard to make other items look WAY more enticing ;) _ I love how they partnered up on the list :)
Hey. Is your Christmas card your new facebook picture? It's really cute.
Jeri-No, it's not. But thanks. I like it, too.
