our hospital stay was the best experience we have had so far, hands down. the nurses and staff at banner gateway were much more friendly and the room much more accommodating. [the boys were both born at banner desert and poor joe had to camp out on the floor.]
i don't know what it is with our babies, but every time one comes to earth, they've always been accompanied by rainfall. [and this is the sonoran desert, you know?]
for eden's grand entrance, it didn't just rain, it poured. the dept. of public safety actually issued a tornado watch for maricopa and pinal counties while we watched from our giant wall-sized window, snug as bugs. visitors and staff came in soggy and flustered, but we were unaffected and entertained, sleeping and cooing over our new arrival.
after a couple days my mom brought the boys to the hospital who were eagerly awaiting their sister's acquaintance. jonah and isaak were somewhat distracted by my super robotic bed and the sprinkles cupcakes aunties rachel and sara brought us [because what's a birthday without cake?] but mostly they were both awed and in love with their new protégée. the both of them, so proud to be big brothers, just couldn't wait to get their hands on her.
