daddy's day of surprises

a much needed family day. joe told us all to get in the car, he had a surprise. mommy doesn't like surprises. i don't know how to prepare for them, for one. should i bring extra daipers, food, brush my hair? and for two, he tends to "surprise" me when he knows i won't want to do something, so that i have no say in the matter. case in point...

stop #1 was to petsmart who was hosting pet adoptions through friends for life. he even already had a dog picked out that he saw on-line or something. 'her name's mallory, isn't she cute, she really needs a home, the boys will love her' yada, yada, yada. all that stuff he knows will get to me, even though i have been adamant about not wanting another dog yet. nice try. actually, it was lucky for me that we actually didn't get to see the dog. she wasn't there that day.

and lucky for daddy, stop #2 earned him back some brownie points. can't really go wrong with amazing jake's.
