graveyard smash, backyard bash

to kick off the season, my sister, rachel, had a welcoming october bash last night complete with jack-o-lantern popcorn balls and a backyard movie theatre. the kids all enjoyed rejecting dinner for sugar, running rampant until night fall, and then staking out a haunt for the feature presentation, the corpse bride. this really is the way to watch a movie with kids. jonah was content to lay on his blanket and get lost in the tale while isaak and 'biel simultaneously watched and jumped on the trampoline. some of the daddies thought they would sneak inside for a more man-like flick which the mommies rewarded them for with diaper-filled kids when the time came. the boys came home tired, dirty, and happy. i'd say that would prove this party a monstrous success.
