a while back i began encouraging isaak to use the potty, but he soon lost interest. he started screaming whenever i'd put underpants on him and i would ask him, do you want to be a big boy or a baby? and each time he'd get a big smile on his face and reply, "baaabbyyyy."
i guess he's changed his mind. nowadays he'll even sneak in there all by himself and go. i'm only notified when he is finished with an emphatic, "maaaamaaaaaaaaaaa. i'm duuhhh-one!" although, most times he still requests an audience. lucky me.
he's been pretty diligent for a month or so, and i'm overcoming my reluctance to call him 'potty trained' [knock on wood] because my first experience with this was so horrific. i keep waiting for him to backfire on me [no pun intended]. but here i am blogging about it, so let it be written in cyberstone: isaak has gone diaperless.
we're far from perfected in this area with an accident or a misfire here and there, but already this round has been so much easier than my first [which i'm inclined to blame on myself and my poor teaching methods]. while our costco load has become delightfully lighter, i have to say my favorite part is the dual dupas* i now have running around the house minus the soggy.
