last week ended my first class wherein i had to present a couple different final projects. and just a recap for you: it was also jonah's birthweek, the week we took a magical journey, and the week our dog tried to die on us.
still managed to pull off a 95.86% however. that's how we roll.
we? yes, we. as in joe and i.
did i mention that joe is my hero? you thought i was kidding about the 4+ million reasons why i love my husband? here's another one: he helps me with my homework. i mean, immensely helps me. like, stays-up-'til-the-wee-hours-of-morning helps me. when i have writers block, when i just have no desire to think about the assignment, when it's 1am and i've got less than 48 hours before my final paper is due and i'm not. even. close. oh, and when your dog contracts parvo and is vomiting and [cr@*#!ng] every 30 minutes, give or take. the stench was incredibly potent, mind you. joe had to take care of that, too. [sing-song voice] here.rohh.so, as of just now, i've turned in my last assignment for the new class i started this week that is due before the winter break. i can not tell you how relieved i am. these classes are nothing if not time consuming. the unfortunate thing is that i hadn't realized until just yesterday that christmas is only 3 days away now. the break has not hardly provided for any prep time. [remember this goal? pshh.]
last night my sister took on my children for a few hours, so joe and i dove head first into holiday shopping angst. after some difficulty feeling the christmas buzz ourselves under recent circumstances, i had a slight altercation at target. but not to worry, i confronted the angry girl and still managed to take the high road without being walked upon. [no, no, don't congratulate me. as you can tell, i am patting myself on the back right now.] i also spent all of today shopping, boys in tow, at only the classiest of vendors. [i hate you, w@lmart.] and came home with barely a plastic grocery bag full of spoils. i was unsuccessful to say the least, but nobody can say i didn't try.
so, are you prepared? we're headed north tomorrow to get this holiday ball rolling. ready or not...
*see how much my higher education is teaching me?
